Our Vision for Our Children 2012
Glyncoed Primary School is at the heart of the community; a school full of learning, laughter and friendship. The staff and the school community are fully committed to inspiring children to reach their full potential, experience success, learn resilience and appreciate that they have abilities which are unique.
We believe the happiness and wellbeing of each child is central to the ethos of the school- that every child is entitled to enjoy his or her childhood. We work hard to provide opportunities for our children to develop into respectful citizens, who contribute positively to the wellbeing of others, respect diversity and treat each other as equals
We believe that learning should be purposeful and challenging. We believe that we are all lifelong learners and that it is possible to learn new things every day. We maintain that learning should be fun as well as highly valued.
We believe that all members of our school community should work together to promote sustainability and an awareness of wider global issues through our curriculum and the links made with our local and global communities.
We believe that good teamwork and positive partnerships with individual children, the whole class, our colleagues, with governors, parents/guardians and the wider community will lead to effective teaching, high standards, successful learning and contribute to the development of the whole child.

Building work is still ongoing and should be completed by the end of the January.
The contractors will try not to arrange deliveries at school starting or finishing times but this cannot be guaranteed, therefore, the main gate on Glyncoed Road should not be used for entering the school by pupils/parents.
All arriving and leaving should be done through the two gates facing out onto The Hawthorns estate.
The school car park will still be used by staff and for school deliveries only.
The contractors have erected temporary safety fencing around their site which everyone needs to respect.
